I can't say enough good things about the Lt Hiker. Hiking is a favorite hobby of mine and each pair of Lt Hikers I own has seen at least 100 miles on the trail - and far more in everyday use. My job involves working in streams and before I put on my waders I make sure I'm wearing Thorlos. They stay on my foot while other socks fall down and bunch up around my toes. I've tried all the major brands (Smartwool, Fox River, Patagonia, Bridgedale, Dahlgren, etc) and although most of them are comfortable to wear none have been as durable as Thorlo. I wear them everyday because they're comfortable, stay in place and last longer than the others. It's a sock - it may not change your life but I assure you, they won't disappoint you and once you buy them you can stop thinking about socks and get on to a more exciting topic.

Thorlos Men's / Women's Thick Cushion Hiking Crew Socks soften impact and pressure on your feet with cushioning right where you need it Thorlos designs socks to make your feet feel better, and these crew socks are no exception. Thick cushioning under the ball of foot and heel protects your feet from impact and pressure, while moderate cushioning in the instep and arch adds extra comfort...
These socks aren't TOO thick but they do have moderate padding/cushion. When you wear them, you notice a difference not only with regard to the padding all day but it'll put you in a better mood. I went back to regular socks after wearing these and the bottoms of my feet were burning (new pair of shoes) so i am totally spoiled now. I'm trying a few other brands to find the very best, but TRUST me, get yourself some high-quality, cushioned socks and you will kick yourself in the butt for not doing it earlier--it makes a true difference in your life! Some lady once said something like, "You better have a comfy bed and comfy shoes, cuz when you aren't in one, you're in the other," but she should have said socks. You'll never go back to six-packs of cotton bleh socks.

Offers the most padded protection possible in a lightweight construction. White/Black Womens Sizes: 7 - 9
These are great socks. They are thin where socks need to be thin and thick where they need to be thick which is in the heel, the pad, and the toes. It's very cool how they engineered this sock so that it is both thin and thick. They are very comfortable socks for walking on the treadmill.

Get the extra protection and warmth you need in the Thorlo® Thick Cushion Hiking crew sock, specifically designed for extended hikes. It's constructed using THORLON® acrylic fibers engineered to maintain fabric softness, maximize foot comfort and ensure product durability.
I live in NYC and i bought these socks for our cold winter days. I'm not much of a hiker. They fit great, and they are a huge improvement over regular cotton socks in terms of both warmth and moisture-wicking ability (my feet don't get very sweaty in them).I usually wear them around the house on the weekends instead of slippers. I've found that slippers get very sweaty, but these socks work great. The fit is very good- molded to the shape of your feet. The thickness is also pretty good, and I can still fit into my regular sized sneakers when I wear them. For the price, compared to other wool composite socks I've seen, these are probably the best. After 2-3 months of owning and wearing them on and off, I have noticed the bottoms are very "fuzzy" and if you hold them up to the light you can really see that extra fuzz on the bottom. I don't think they will fall apart, though. They seem to be holding up well.

Experia by Thorlo is protection without weight. Designed specifically for performance athletes that demand a glove like fit with Coolmax enhanced moisture management
I actually first bought these at the Sports Authority in Boulder; I had a pair in my hand, standing there contemplating whether ONE pair of socks was worth almost $20, when one of the store associates walked by and told me if I never bought another pair of socks in my life, buy these ones. Boy, was she right!! I've had the same pair for about a year now, and with 4-5 runs per week, a half marathon and now marathon training, these pretty much still look brand new. This might be gross, but I wash these about every 2 weeks and wear the same pair EVERY time I run, so they're definitely incredibly durable and stink free! I also wear them year round: hot, wet, cold, muddy, the gym, etc. and I've never had a problem, they seem to acclimate to every weather situation.Bottom line: well worth the money.

Ultra light heel and ball padding to protect against shear and impact forces. Stretch nylon along with a flat knit arch provides better fit and durability.
I received these pairs of Thorlo socks yesterday delivered by ONTRAC, they were on time. These are absolutely the best men's socks you could find in the world, comfortable to put on and walk with, the Coolmax materials make your feet less hot and sweat thus no smelly feet. They tend to last over 10 years on average per pairs, so I am fitted for LIFE with 6 pairs of them, if I could live 60 more years, that is. Yes, they are expensive, $15.99 a pair but that last more than 10 years, so you'll know is better.

These are wonderful supportive socks, that will make sure that your feet stay dry, while not getting any blisters anywhere. I have several pairs from different years and my husband uses the running sock from Thorlo, which is also great. These are much better than your average wool walking sock or your cotton sport sock. They might seem more expensive, but the quality is absolutely worth it!

I make it a point to hike every weekend from 6 - 18 miles. I own so many different hiking socks, but these are hands-down the best. You would think that after years of hiking my feet would not get hot spots (blisters), but it still happens. However, with these socks and a liner pair (smartwool makes the best), I have yet to get a hot spot. From someone who puts hundreds of miles on the trail every year, I will not buy another brand or style again. Time to give up all my other socks to goodwill. They are all like new, but it is just not worth getting a blister.

Now you can dress up in comfort in this crew sock from Thorlos, with shock-absorbing cushioning in the ball of foot and heel. Thin enough to fit in dress shoes, this crew sock helps reduce impact and prevent blisters, plus the ball of foot is extra padded for more protection. Moisture-wicking Thorlon acrylic fibers, developed exclusively for Thorlos, help keep feet cooler and drier. Contoured heel and toe pockets conform to the shape of your foot to help eliminate irritation, bunching and slipping. Non-binding top stays up comfortably, and the low-profile toe seam won't rub or irritate your toes.
Sure the socks are nice but geez that price.... I tend to be a little more thrifty but thought I would try these... After wearing them a few times I just can't justify paying that price...

Ordered "Size 11" (men's) and got "Medium" which the sock package says is "5.5-8.5 Men's" and "6.5-10 Women's". Fortunately, they fit my wife. I'm trying again, nervously, and will order Size 13 to see if that produces "Large".Great socks, though. 5-star.
